22 Resume after DUMP / Diagnosis

If CFS should fail abnormally (PDUMP), the user can often effect a controlled resumption of the program with the /INTR R BS2000 command. This will prevent open Connections, the command memory and the EDT virtual memory areas from being lost.

A lengthy search command in Display mode can be interrupted by pressing the K2 key (switch to the BS2000 command level) and then entering an /INTR R command. This can also be done to interrupt a '++' command when displaying a very large SAM file. In both these cases, the screen will be positioned at the last record to have been read.

The BS2000 command /INTR %MAPLST can be entered to create diagnostic documentation following an abnormal program interruption. The screen contents can then be captured to a hardcopy file by pressing the F3 key, or could be printed out on a local printer by pressing the LA1 key. These lists, together with any other relevant information such as the input data that caused the error, can be sent to the company OPG GmbH (Fax. +49/89/260 9929) for analysis.

Controlled User Dump: The BS2000 command /INTR DUMP can be entered after pressing the K2 key to get to the command level.
